Turn 1 - British End of Turn Summary

As 1941 drew to a close the Admiralty must look back at quite a successful year against our enemies.  We are in a very strong strategic position with good prospects to remain so for the foreseeable future.  One of our greatest achievements was the sinking of the Japanese battleship Yamato by the N3 class battleship St. George.  Our decision to move ahead with our N3 and G3 designs have proven itself sound.  We did sustain heavy losses in both our Submarine Service as well as the Royal Air Force and Fleet Air Arm.  Additionally, the loss of the Nelson was a grave blow indeed.  She was sunk by a combined operation of German aircraft and Japanese submarine forces.  The next Nelson class battleship off the slips will be renamed Nelson in her honor.  With changes in tactics and doctrine we hope to reduce losses in the Submarine and Air Services in the coming months.  We must now consolidate and strengthen our positions in preparations for renewed offensive operations against the Germans and Japanese in the Spring and Summer of 1942.

Albert Victor Alexander, 1st Earl Alexander of Hillsborough
1st Lord of the Admiralty
