Summary and After Action - Spring 1941

Turn 1 Final Map
British Losses:
   3 Battleships
   1 Carrier
   8 Cruisers, 1 crippled
  12 Destroyers, 2 crippled
   1 Submarine
   5 Aircraft

German Losses:
   2 Battleships, 1 crippled
   2 Carriers
   6 Cruisers, 1 crippled
   7 Destroyers, 2 crippled
   5 Submarines
   5 Aircraft

AFTER ACTION (UK): A slight edge to me territorially and I feel ok about the relative losses, especially considering two of his three carriers are sunk and the other one is under the fleeing penalties. The smaller ships really die fast, so hopefully their faster build rates and closer production locations will ensure our fleets have a decent distribution of ship classes. The German heavy cruisers are a threat, with their large range 4 hitting power, but thankfully they are no tougher to take out than my heavy cruisers.

AFTER ACTION (GER): Losses were relatively close. The British do have a decided advantage of position and territory. I have to try to keep my carrier losses down in the fall and following spring. They will have air superiority in one or more battles in the fall turn which I will have to overcome, maybe by leaving the battle area after the requisite 6 turns to limit his number of attacks. Over the next year I will have more destroyers and cruisers coming to make up for and exceed losses. I am hoping to have a couple wolfpacks take to the seas soon.
