Battle Report - Sector 35, Spring 1942

 Sector 35, Spring 1942

British Forces:
     HMS Javelin

German Forces:
     U-47
     U-510
     Land-Based (4 turn re-arming)
          BV 138

There are two squalls, starting in F4 and F5, but no terrain.  Three 25-point objectives were placed in the standard locations (F1, F4, and F7).

START: The U-47 starts in F3 and the U-510 in G6.  The Javelin begins in A2.

Turn 1: The British win initiative.  The submarines advance with the U-47 moving to E2 and the U-510 moving to F6. The Javelin advances slowly to B3, staying out of torpedo range.  The squalls move to G4 and F4.

Turn 2: The Germans win initiative, forcing the destroyer to commit.  It advances to D4 and the German u-boats get cagey and keep some distance, the U-47 moving to F3 and the U-510 moving to F5.  The Germans commit their BV 138 as a Pinpointer to F3.  The Javelin produces a smoke screen and hopes for the best. The U-47 makes a long range strike with torpedoes, accurately targeting through the smoke and hits the Javelin twice, breaking it apart.

Surviving British Forces:
None

Surviving German Forces:
U-47
U-510
BV 138

After Action (UK):  I was hoping for just one submarine, but worth a shot for a chance to take some territory.

After Action (GE):  Sent subs and BV138 to try to clear some of his infiltrating ships from German seas.  They accomplished their task.
